Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Performs work as outlined by the Chief Mechanic and Fleet Manager with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Diagnoses cause of most malfunctions and performs repair on the spot.
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
Communicates with Fleet Manager immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the allocated timeframe
Documents all work performed
Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
Keeps shop area neat and clean.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
Requirements:
A minimum of one year heavy equipment mechanic experience
Must have a minimum of Class B CDL driver’s license to operate maintenance vehicle
Willingness to learn
Team Player
40+ hours a week, Monday-Saturday.
